CanTrack Trackers on flespi: Which H02 Channel to Use and What Gets Through
flespi has two H02 channel protocols, cantrack and sinotrack, and they read different things. Which to use for CanTrack trackers and what gets through.
Many CanTrack trackers - the G05, G06L, TK100, GF40 and GF70L among them - speak the H02 protocol. flespi supports H02 through two channel protocols, cantrack and sinotrack, and they don't behave the same. We tested both with emulated H02 devices. Here's what gets through.
What We Found
Tested on 2026-10-29:
- Basic position - decoded on both channels.
- Extra values after the status word - the
cantrackchannel closes the connection; thesinotrackchannel accepts them but ignores them. - HTBT heartbeat (battery level) - the
cantrackchannel decodes and echoes it; thesinotrackchannel doesn't understand it.
Two more details:
- On
sinotrack, exactly four extra values are read as MCC, MNC, LAC and Cell ID. Any other extras are ignored. - A
LINKheartbeat made flespi close the connection.
Neither channel reads odometer, temperature, fuel or custom values from H02.
Recommendation
- Put CanTrack devices on a
cantrackchannel and rely on the basic position plus HTBT for the battery level. - If a device's firmware appends extra values,
cantrackwill close the connection on every message.sinotrackaccepts those lines but drops the extras and the heartbeat battery. - If you need odometer, fuel or temperature from H02 devices, send them to Traccar or your own server instead - Traccar reads all of them.
Some CanTrack models use GT06 or JT/T 808 instead of H02, so check your exact model first.
Reproduce It With an Emulated Tracker
- In flespi, create a channel with the protocol cantrack and note its host and port.
- Add a device with the tracker's ID as its ident, so its messages are stored.
- In Telemify, create an H02 device with the same ID and the channel's host and port. Add no extra parameters, turn heartbeats on and set Heartbeat message to HTBT.
- Start it and watch the messages arrive.

Studio Warns You
You don't need to remember the list above. When a device uses H02, the Protocol Parameters panel in Telemify shows a note on what flespi reads and when it closes the connection.
